Race Day Details and Information - 2025 Wayzata Athletics Turkey Trot,  Presented by Medtronic

  • 7-8 a.m. Pre-registration packet pick-up and race day registration - Located under large tents near race start line - next to the WHS stadium
  • 8:30 a.m. Wayzata Turkey Trot 5K Presented by Medtronic 

 

Location

Wayzata High School Athletic parking lots
4955 Peony Ln N, Plymouth, MN 55446

  • The Wayzata Athletic lots are located on the west side of the high school. The run/walk route will start and finish at the high school as the race uses local neighborhod roads and sidewalks. 

Timing

  • 5K registrants will be chip-timed with disposable chips affixed to the back of your race bib number.

Parking

  • Participants should park in the main high school parking lot off of Peony Lane on the South East side of Wayzata High School or the Athletics lot accessing from the bus corrals to the north of the school. 

Bathrooms

  • Outdoor Porta-Potties will be located in and around the Wayzata High School Stadium in addition to being placed around the start/finish line. The school will not be available to be accessed by the public. 

Race course

  • The USATF certified 5K course will start and finish at Wayzata High School and loop through nearby neighborhoods to the North of the school. 

Strollers

  • We do not recommend strollers but if you do bring one, we request you line up at the very back of the start area for the safety of your little one and all the runners/walkers around you.

Dogs

  • Dogs are not allowed at the event for the safety of runners and volunteers.

Race Day Attire

  • Thanksgiving-themed costumes are encouraged but not required :)

Awards

  • Pumpkin and apple pie awards will be given at the conclusion of the race. 

Post-race

  • After the run, enjoy music and snacks before your Thanksgiving festivities.

Weather

  • This event is a rain, snow or shine event. However, if the National Weather Service or MnDOT advise against any travel, we will cancel the event. 

No refunds

  • The Wayzata Turkey Trot does not issue refunds for the 5K.
